The Blue Antarctic is the compact entry point in the Ikenaga professional cast iron range. Where the SI-8B weighs 22 kg and is anchored by its own mass, the Blue Antarctic at 8.5 kg sits at the boundary between a portable machine and a counter-stable professional unit. It produces 0.7 kg of shaved ice per minute — enough for serious home use and small professional operations.

The disc is made of corrosion-resistant aluminum and the blade of rust-resistant stainless steel. No electricity is required: the hand crank gives direct tactile control over shaving speed and ice temperature, which allows precise texture adjustment in a way electric machines do not. Use it anywhere — outdoor markets, food trucks, pop-up events, or at home.

Heavy item (8.5 kg). Allow an additional 5 business days for preparation and shipment.

Best combinations to start with

  • Matcha + azuki + condensed milk: Ujikintoki — the classic that shows off fine ice texture
  • Strawberry + condensed milk: the most crowd-pleasing starter combination
  • Yuzu solo: tart and aromatic — lets the ice texture speak for itself
