The 2025 Toroyuki is the most capable home kakigori machine in the range. The key upgrade from previous models is native loose ice compatibility: for the first time, you can feed regular ice cubes from your home freezer directly into the machine without needing a dedicated cup. This eliminates the freeze-ahead wait time and makes spontaneous kakigori genuinely practical.

The blade height dial is 1.6 times larger than the previous version and the motor speed has been reduced by 60%, which together give significantly more precise texture control. The 2025 redesign also folds down to 23cm for storage — 13cm shorter than its deployed height — which makes it easier to keep on the counter or slide into a cabinet between uses.

Voltage note: This machine runs on AC 100V. The plug is Type A (same as US and Canada). For use in Europe, Australia or other countries, a voltage converter is required — not included.

First kakigori to make with this machine

  • Loose ice cube test: use regular ice cubes first to find your preferred blade setting
  • Frozen mango direct: feed frozen mango cubes for an instant no-syrup tropical bowl
  • Matcha + condensed milk: classic Ujikintoki — use dedicated ice cups for the finest snow texture
