La France is the variety name for the Passe-Crassane pear in Japan, grown primarily in Yamagata prefecture. This bar-style concentrate contains 10% La France juice at dilution, giving it a delicate, genuinely pear-like character. A good autumn alternative to the heavier summer fruit flavors: clean, slightly floral, and unmistakably Japanese in its refinement.
