The Kujira collection is handcrafted Japanese ceramics — not factory production. Each bowl is individually painted, which means color, pattern, shape and size will vary slightly from piece to piece and from the product photos. This is not a defect: it is the nature of handmade work, and the source of each bowl's individuality. Returns or exchanges on the basis of minor variation between pieces are not accepted.
The donburi format is deeper than a standard kakigori bowl, which gives more room for toppings and prevents the shaved ice from sliding off when you add condensed milk. The four-bowl set is sized for family use or hosting.
