Aluminium conducts cold efficiently, forming solid ice from room temperature water in a standard home freezer in 4 to 6 hours. Fill the cups with filtered water, freeze, then slot directly into the machine. Each cup produces one ice block for shaving. The set of two lets you keep one in use while the other is in the freezer.
