Hasami is a town in Nagasaki prefecture with over 400 years of ceramic production history. It is best known for functional porcelain with clean lines and natural glazes. The Haku bowl reflects this tradition: a simple, cupped shape with a wide base designed to be held comfortably with both hands while eating. The traditional way to eat kakigori in Japan is standing up, holding the bowl in both hands — this bowl is sized and shaped for exactly that.
As a handmade piece, the color, pattern, and shape may vary slightly from the photos shown. The natural glaze means no two bowls are identical. This is inherent to the craft and not a defect. Not dishwasher-safe; hand wash with mild detergent.
